Sosin
Georgette Sosin was born in Strasbourg, France. She
attended the University of Rochester, New York, and Sarah Lawrence
College and received a B.A. from the University of Louisville. She
is a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Sosin's
work has been exhibited in galleries and universities throughout
the United States and France, including one person shows at the
University of Louisville, Concordia College and the College of St.
Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota; invitational and group shows at
the Mona Bismarck Foundation, Paris, France; Pindar Gallery and
A.I.R. Gallery, NYC, the M.C. Gallery and the Catherine Nash Gallery,
University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis.
She
was invited to join A.I.R. Gallery, NYC, as a national affiliate
member. In addition to her work being included in numerous public
and private collections, she was the winner of several statewide
competitions for both indoor and outdoor large scale sculptures
in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
