Artists' statement

One of the only remnants of ancient cultures is pottery. It is a link with the past and of the earth. My handbuilt pots are coiled in the ancient method, but with a personal twist. Shape, volume, surface texture and unusual openings are aspects which intrigue me. Contrast of these surfaces, interior and exterior, personalize my work.
